Set initial stock

Use this guide after creating a product when you need to record the quantity physically available in the warehouse.

Before you start

The product must have at least one non-archived variant. Stock is tracked separately for every variant, so first confirm that you opened the correct SKU.

Record the movement

1. Open the product and expand the required variant.
2. In the inventory section, find «Новое движение».
3. Under «Тип движения», select the appropriate inbound type.
4. Enter the actual quantity as a positive number in «Изменение», for example 5.
5. Enter Начальный остаток in «Причина».
6. Select «Записать движение».

Do not enter the resulting stock as a negative number. A positive change adds units; a negative change reduces them.

Check the result

• «Текущий остаток» shows the new quantity.
• A separate entry appears in «История движений».
• The entry shows the values before and after the operation.

Sklads does not replace historical records retroactively. Record a correction as a new movement to preserve a clear audit trail.
